ye zaḳhm-e-dil harā hone kā matlab
dubāra sāmnā hone kā matlab
hamāre biich qurbat hī nahīñ thī
hamāre phir judā hone kā matlab
tumhārī bhī hifāzat ham kareñge
tumhāre phir ḳhudā hone kā matlab
luġhat meñ DhūñDne baiThe haiñ ham bhī
tumhāre bevafā hone kā matlab
kabhī ḳhud-sāḳhta logoñ se pūchho
mire be-sāḳhta hone kā matlab
ye zaKHm-e-dil hara hone ka matlab
dubara samna hone ka matlab
hamare bich qurbat hi nahin thi
hamare phir juda hone ka matlab
tumhaari bhi hifazat hum karenge
tumhaare phir KHuda hone ka matlab
lughat mein DhunDne baiThe hain hum bhi
tumhaare bewafa hone ka matlab
kabhi KHud-saKHta logon se puchho
mere be-saKHta hone ka matlab
