bandisheñ ishq meñ duniyā se nirālī dekheñ

dil taḌap jaa.e magar lab na hilā.e koī

bandishen ishq mein duniya se nirali dekhen

dil taDap jae magar lab na hilae koi

qismat meñ ḳhushī jitnī thī huī aur ġham bhī hai jitnā honā hai

ghar phūñk tamāshā dekh chuke ab jañgal jañgal ronā hai

qismat mein KHushi jitni thi hui aur gham bhi hai jitna hona hai

ghar phunk tamasha dekh chuke ab jangal jangal rona hai

un ke sitam bhī kah nahīñ sakte kisī se ham

ghuT ghuT ke mar rahe haiñ ajab bebasī se ham

un ke sitam bhi kah nahin sakte kisi se hum

ghuT ghuT ke mar rahe hain ajab bebasi se hum

dard-e-dil aur jān-levā pursisheñ

ek bīmārī sau bīmāriyāñ

dard-e-dil aur jaan-lewa pursishen

ek bimari ki sau bimariyan

samajh to ye ki na samjhe ḳhud apnā rañg-e-junūñ

mizāj ye ki zamāna mizāj-dāñ hotā

samajh to ye ki na samjhe KHud apna rang-e-junun

mizaj ye ki zamana mizaj-dan hota

ham ne be-intihā vafā kar ke

be-vafāoñ se intiqām liyā

hum ne be-intiha wafa kar ke

be-wafaon se intiqam liya

us bevafā se kar ke vafā mar-miTā 'razā'

ik qissa-e-tavīl ye iḳhtisār hai

us bewafa se kar ke wafa mar-miTa 'raza'

ek qissa-e-tawil ka ye iKHtisar hai

tum 'razā' ban ke musalmān jo kāfir rahe

tum se behtar hai vo kāfir jo musalmāñ na huā

tum 'raza' ban ke musalman jo kafir hi rahe

tum se behtar hai wo kafir jo musalman na hua

jo chāhte ho so kahte ho chup rahne lazzat kyā jaano

ye rāz-e-mohabbat hai pyāre tum rāz-e-mohabbat kyā jaano

TRANSLATION

Whaterver you want, you say, the pleasure of slience you know not,

It is the secret of love, my dear, the secret of love you know not.

jo chahte ho so kahte ho chup rahne ki lazzat kya jaano

ye raaz-e-mohabbat hai pyare tum raaz-e-mohabbat kya jaano

TRANSLATION
