Writer, poet, critic and editor Ahmad Hamesh was born, on 1st July 1940 in District Balia (Banspar) U P India . After completed his education he moved to Pakistan in 1960. From 1964 to 1984 he started his career as a broadcaster in Radio Pakistan Karachi (Hindi Service). Under the National academy of performing arts (Karachi) he also taught and translates several Sanskrit/Hindi plays which were also performed on stage. In 1963 he wrote his first story ‘’Bezamani’’ which is included in his first fiction collection ‘Kahani mujhe likhti hai’’, His two fiction collections ‘Makh…1966’’ and ‘’Kahani mujhe likhti hai…1988’’ and a poetry collection ‘’Hamesh nazmen…2005’’ have also been published. He also published and edited a literary magazine ‘Tashkeel’’ in 1990 and compiled a few important selections like ‘’asar e hazir ki bahtreen kahaniyan…1980’’, ‘’Jadeed tahiroon ki Anthology….1985’’ and ‘’Pakistani adab (prose..2007)’’ (under the Pakistan academy of letters ‘’. In 1985 under the Sahitya Academy ,his fiction collection ‘’Makhi’’ was translated into English. He died on 8 September 2013 In Karachi.
