Born Ainuddin Azam, he wrote under the pen-name ‘Azam’. He was born on August 30, 1963 in Gopalganj, Pratapgarh District (UP), and started writing poetry in 1990. He was a student of poet Arshi Junoon Puri. His Ghazals have featured in magazines like Pesh-Raft, Inqilab, and Urdu Times. His ghazals have become popular among the people, and he regularly participates in numerous Mushairas.
