कहानी एक पंजाबी लड़की की है जो एक मन्नत की दरख़्वास्त लेकर एक दरगाह पर कई दिन से लगातार खड़ी है। उसने अपना दुपट्टा दरगाह की चौखट से बाँधा हुआ है और लगातार खड़े होने से उसके पैर सूज गए है। मगर यह दुपट्टा महज़ एक लड़की का ही नहीं है, बल्कि यह पंजाब और सिंध को आपस में बाँधने वाली डोर भी है।
