Avinash was born on 14th May 1987 in Ballia, Uttar Pradesh. His mother tongue is Bhojpuri. While his formal training is in computer engineering, his heart has always been in poetry and philosophy. As a 14-year-old he was drawn to Urdu by the velvet voice of Jagjit singh and what started as an attempt to learn a few words here and there to fully understand and appreciate Kaifi Azmi’s nazms culminated into an enduring love for Urdu and Persian, an affair that continues to this day.
