Bashir Durrani was one of the disciples of Jigar Moradabadi. He was born at a place called Jahagirabad in Bulandshahar district of Uttar Pradesh in 1902. His father had migrated from Jahagirabad and settled in Moradabad where Bashir Durrani learnt his first lessons in poetry. Following the Partition of India, he migrated to Pakistan. His poetical works include Jazb-o-Gurez and Naadiraat.
