mahfil KHushiyan shor-sharaba ek taraf

kisi ke ishq mein dil be-qarar kaun kare

wo agar bewafa nahin hota

gunah-e-ishq mein is baat kei taskin hoti hai

zara dekhiye to ghazab Dha rahe hain

ek baat yahi shukr manane ke liye hai

ajab uljhan mein paDte ja rahe hain

wahi tewar wahi lahja abhi tak

milna hamara kam hua phir baat kam hui

ek na ek din to sabhi ko hi qaza aaegi

ab to aasan dikhai nahin deta kuchh bhi

jab dikhai de raha tha KHud-kushi ka rasta

manzur kar le faisla parwardigar ka

zamane ki tarah hamdam na hona

tumhaare bin hamara aashiyan kaisa lagega

dhup ho ki chha jae phir ghaTa jo tum kah do

dekh le aa ke tere baad kahan tak pahunche

mujhe afsos bas is baat ka tha
