Syed Jameel Ahmad Naqvi was another poet from the soil of Amroha, where he was born on 7 January 1912. He got his elementary education from there and passed his tenth from Muradabad in 1927. His did his education till his Masters degree. In 1929, he did a course in library administration from Aligarh Muslim University and worked in the library of the same university for nineteen years. After partition, he migrated to Pakistan and retired in 1971 as an assistant director in the Export Import Department. He had a keen interest in poetry since he was quite young. His teacher and guide in poetry was Habeeb Ahmad Ufaq. He died on 19 January 1999 in Karachi. Parcham Ka Hilaal Jagmagaya, Kaf-E-Khaakaster, Barf Ke Bajri, Armughan-E-Jameel, Intezam-E-Kutub Khaana, Shibli Ki Rangeen Zindagi, Tanqeed-O-Tafheem, and Urdu Nasr Ka Irteqa are the collections of his works.
