Khushbir Singh Shaad is an Indian Urdu poet with seven books of Urdu Ghazals to his credit, published in Devnagri and Urdu languages. He was born on 4th Sep 1954 at Sitapur (Uttar Pradesh). He is an alumnus of Christ Church College, City Montessori School and KKV Lucknow. Shaad learnt the skills of Urdu sher-o-shayari from his Ustaad Waali Aasii. His published works include Jaane Kab Yeh Mausam Badle (1992), Geeli Mitti (1998), Chalo Kuch Rang Hi Bikhrey (2000), Zara Yeh Dhoop Dhal Jaye (2005), Bekhawabiyan (2007), Jahan Tak Zindagi Hai (2009) and Bikharne Se Zara Pehle (2011). Shaad has also wrote the lyrics for the title song of Bollywood film, Dhokha, directed by film maker Mahesh Bhatt.
