One more literary figure from Badayun was Mehtaab Zafar. He was born in 1931 and did his graduation from Aligarh Muslim University. He was a brought up in the literary atmosphere of Badayun and under the guidance of Jaam Nawai, who instilled a sense of poetry within him at a very early age. His pen name was Mehtaab.  Due to his job, he had to live in Baghdad and Turkey for ten years. He returned from Turkey in 1969 and started working as a section officer. He was transferred from Islamabad to Karachi, which later became his permanent home town as well. He died on 22 October 1992 in Karachi.
