A poetess of elegant tone and captivating expression, Muqaddas Malik graces the bouquet of young women poets of the new generation. Her poetry is imbued with mature gravitas and deliberated bitterness, and her expanse of her themes does not limit her to love and affection but also encompass the inequalities in the society and the state of present-hood.
Born and brought up in the holy country of Sargodha, she passed her schooling, too, from the same city. She turned to writing poetry in 2017 through social media. Muqaddas feels that poetry is better left uncategorized and undivided in forms, for all that is pure emotion can be called poetry. Her favorite poets include Ghalib, Faiz, Mohsin Naqvi and Nasir Kazmi. Her expression and style are unalike all her contemporaries, for she depicts the various shades of life in such a way that one’s imagination is instantly arrested and starts breathing the scenery painted by her words.
