Born in the family of famous Maithili poet Harish Chandra 'Harit', Rahul had a great interest in literature since childhood itself. He started writing poem at a very small age and started attending stages at age of 13. Since, school-time, Rahul had a great interest in learning new skills and quickly learnt new languages such as English, Punjabi, Tamil, Malayalam and Urdu as he migrated to different places for educational and occupational purposes.

Along with Urdu, Rahul has an equal control on Hindi, English and Maithili. Rahul has been writing poems and songs in Maithili and Hindi as well. His Maithili poems and songs have been a part of various reputed Maithili magazines including "Kavyanjali", "Mithila Times" "Samay - Saal" and "Poorvottar Maithil". Along with that, Rahul has a great hand on translation and his lyrical translation of famous Maithili songs are much appraised among the common people as well as  the literature fraternity.

Education & Occupation

Rahul has a degree of Engineering in Electronics and is currently serving a Multi-National Company as a Sr. Content Strategist in New Delhi.

Current Works

Currently, Rahul is focused on penning  down Urdu poetry pieces while experimenting with the traditional diction of Urdu Poetry. Along with that, he is working on the concept of a book in which, he will provide a  lyrical English translation of famous songs written by great Maithili Poet Vidyapati. The first series of such books will contain six dozens of popular songs  of 'Kavi Kokil' Vidyapati with their explanation in Hindi as well.
