Samar Badayuni’s real name is Muhammad Jaliluddin. He is known as a talented poet in the world of Urdu literature. He was born on June 21, 1963, in Budaun district, Uttar Pradesh, into a Sheikh Siddiqui family with a farming background. His late father, Jamiluddin Siddiqui, worked as a government employee in the education department. Along with his job, he was also a well-known poet and writer in the literary circles of Budaun.
Samar Badayuni’s love for poetry started in his childhood because of his family’s connection to books and learning. He began writing poetry during his high school years but had to keep it a secret due to his father’s strict nature. Later, when his father found out about his talent, he was both surprised and happy. He started guiding Samar in poetry. Sadly, his father passed away in 2004, and Samar could only learn from him for a short time.
After this, Samar became a student of the famous poet Nafees Badayuni, who guided him for nearly ten years. Even after Nafees Badayuni passed away, Samar continued to feel inspired by his teachings.
Samar’s poetry started getting published in newspapers and magazines in 2007. In 2010, his work was first broadcast on Akashvani Radio and Doordarshan, and this continues even today. He also got a lot of support and encouragement from Khalid Nadeem Badayuni, who helped him participate in poetry events, radio shows, and TV programs.
Samar Badayuni’s poetry is a beautiful mix of inherited talent and hard work. This combination has made him an important name in Urdu literature.
