āshiqoñ ke vāste bāb-e-asar khultā nahīñ

aah karta hun to aati hai palaT kar ye sada

aashiqon ke waste bab-e-asar khulta nahin

Sahar Ishqabadi was born on September 16, 1903 at Ishqabad, Meirut. His father's name was Munshi Nand Lal. He received his early education from Meirut. He learnt Urdu and Farsi from his father. He was the pupil of Aziz Lakhnawi. He died on March 31, 1978 in Delhi after prolonged illness. His collection of poetry was published as Gulbang in 1965.
