Ashk Almas, whose real name is Rahat Alam, is an emerging name in Urdu poetry. Born on January 20, 1997, in Motihari, Bihar, Ashk Almas completed his early education in his hometown, later earning his B.Tech. and M.Tech. degrees from Aligarh Muslim University. With a deep love for poetry and literature, Ashk Almas has made a unique mark in contemporary Urdu poetry through his creative talents. He has been immersed in the craft of poetry for nearly the past ten years.

Currently residing in Abu Dhabi, he is pursuing a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering. His poetry blends tradition and classic sensibilities with modern innovation. His ghazals beautifully reflect the inner emotions of life and contemporary realities. The simplicity, depth of feeling, and clarity of his verses make him a distinct and prominent poet.
