chalūñ to maslahat ye kah ke paañv thaam letī hai

vahāñ jaanā bhī kyā hāsil jahāñ se kuchh nahīñ hotā

chalun to maslahat ye kah ke panw tham leti hai

wahan jaana bhi kya hasil jahan se kuchh nahin hota

Gulzar Husain Shah’s pen name was Gulzar. He was born on 11 March 1949 in Nauranga of Mianwaali. He did his M.A in Urdu and Punjabi in 1983 and 1985 respectively. He remained associated with the Department of Punjabi of Dayal Singh College, Lahore.
