Born : 01 Jul 2001 | Shahjahanpur, Uttar pradesh

Mumtaz Iqbal (Naushad Ahmad) was born on July 1, 2001, in Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh. He received his early education in his hometown and earned Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Hindi Literature from Aligarh Muslim University. Aligarh and Delhi's literary and artistic atmosphere ignited in him a passion for poetry and literature, leading him to actively participate in Hindi-Urdu literary circles within a short span of time.
He remains deeply engaged in the process of reading and writing. For the renowned Hindi web and print magazine Sadaneera, he has curated and translated works by celebrated poets and writers such as Shamsur Rahman Faruqi, Afzal Ahmed Syed, Zeeshan Sahil, Naseer Ahmed Nasir, Ali Akbar Natiq, Sara Shagufta (translation), Khalid Javed, Ammar Iqbal, and the Balochi poet Munir Momin.
Currently based in Delhi, he is part of the Editorial team at Rekhta.

Mumtaz Iqbal's poetry is a beautiful blend of simplicity and depth.
