Muhammad Razzaq Khan was born on 25 January 1926 in Rangoon but his city is Calcutta where he completed his graduation from. After partition he went to Dhaka. He was a clerk in the office of deputy accountant general of West Pakistan. He was the disciple of Abr Ahsani. He had written short stories as well. His pen name was Sadiq and later, he came to be known as Sadiq-ul-Qadri. He would compose both, ghazals and nazms. His short stories and ghazals had been a usual feature of Shair, Nairang-e-Khyal and Humayun. He died on 10 October 1957 in Calcutta. He was a talented poet and his work was brought into limelight due to the attempts of Professor Nazeer Siddiqui and they were published posthumously.
