Shadab Razi (Mohammad Razi Ahmad) was a distinguished Urdu poet, critic, and researcher known for deep engagement with classical and modern literary traditions. Born on January 12, 1955, in Sheikhpura, Bihar, he contributed significantly to Urdu poetry and literary criticism.
A gold medalist in M.A. Urdu from Patna University and a D.Litt. from T.M. Bhagalpur University, Shadab Razi served as Head of the Urdu Department at T.M. Bhagalpur University. His poetic repertoire encompassed ghazal, nazm, mahiya, doha, and rubaiyat, reflecting his versatility and command over diverse poetic forms.
As a critic and researcher, he authored "Urdu Tanqeed Mein Naye Rujhaanaat: Bihar Ke Hawale Se", a significant work in literary criticism.
