ka.ī nā-āshnā chehre hijāboñ se nikal aa.e
na.e kirdār maazī kī kitāboñ se nikal aa.e
kai na-ashna chehre hijabon se nikal aae
nae kirdar mazi ki kitabon se nikal aae
kuchh talab meñ bhī izāfa kartī haiñ mahrūmiyāñ
pyaas kā ehsās baḌh jaatā hai sahrā dekh kar
kuchh talab mein bhi izafa karti hain mahrumiyan
pyas ka ehsas baDh jata hai sahra dekh kar
na jaane kitnī aziyyat se ḳhud guzartā hai
ye zaḳhm tab kahīñ jā kar nishāñ banātā hai
na jaane kitni aziyyat se KHud guzarta hai
ye zaKHm tab kahin ja kar nishan banata hai
ragoñ meñ zahr-e-ḳhamoshī utarne se zarā pahle
bahut taḌpī koī āvāz marne se zarā pahle
ragon mein zahr-e-KHamoshi utarne se zara pahle
bahut taDpi koi aawaz marne se zara pahle
the jis kā markazī kirdār ek umr talak
pata chalā ki usī dāstāñ ke the hī nahīñ
the jis ka markazi kirdar ek umr talak
pata chala ki usi dastan ke the hi nahin
