Agha Kalb-e-Hussain Nadir was one of the dearest pupils of Nasikh. All his life he worked as a deputy collector and was involved in government jobs, but he never lost sight of his thoughts. Whichever district he went to, he also took poetry with him. He continued to treat poets with great respect and beneficence. And in this very mood, he penned this couplet:
log kahte haiñ ki fann-e-shā.irī manhūs hai
sher kahte kahte maiñ deputy collector ho gayā
log kahte hain ki fann-e-shairi manhus hai
sher kahte kahte main deputy collector ho gaya
