ik dāġh-e-dil ne mujh ko diye be-shumār daaġh
paidā hue hazār charāġh is charāġh se
ek dagh-e-dil ne mujh ko diye be-shumar dagh
paida hue hazar charagh is charagh se
sadqe tere hote haiñ sūraj bhī sitāre bhī
ham kis se kaheñ dil hai siine meñ hamāre bhī
TRANSLATION
The Sun as well as the stars, give themselves for you,
To whom do I say that in my chest, I’ve got a heart too.
