I am a writer and a philanthropist. My poetry, afsana, and travelogues publish in literary magazines of Urdu in Pakistan, especially “Funoon”. On my credit there is a collection of my poetry with the title of Gul-e-Dopehr (published in 2005) and collection of afsana under compilation. I live in Lahore with my family. Occasionally I am part of Mushairas and meetings held by literary circles in Lahore, Islambad and Karachi. Having worked with national and international NGOs, I have run projects for women’s welfare and conducted training sessions on media relations and life skills. Currently I am completing my PhD thesis in Media studies. Other than media, my interests include Gender Studies, Religion, Culture, and Politics. As a research scholar I contribute my academic work to research journals.
