Girya-o-zari shayari

The act of wailing is an expression of human misery. It is, however, typically associated with lovers. He keeps lamenting over his separation from the beloved. It is one of the stock themes of classical poetry. Here are some examples

kyā kahūñ dīda-e-tar ye to mirā chehrā hai

sañg kaT jaate haiñ bārish jahāñ dhaar gire
